R.C.I.A is now O.C.I.A program
Welcome To Holy Spirit Parish!
We are genuinely excited for you and your family. We are looking forward to meeting you, and joining you in your faith journey this year’s O.C.I.A Program.
O.C.I.A. stands for the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults.
This experience is intended to answer your questions about what Catholics do, why we do it, and help you discern your decision to enter fully and completely into life as a Catholic Christian, following Our Father, His Son Jesus and being lifted in our faith by the Holy Spirit. Let us be your tour guide on this adventure. Let our eyes be opened like the Apostles, as they walked with Jesus on the road to Emmaus.
In order to be fully present and to avoid distracting yourself or others, please make plans for your children to be cared for outside of our classroom setting. The issues and topics are directed towards adult education. The classroom meetings will be held in the Meeting Room between Mercy Hall Main Office and the fence gate near the Church building, so it’s directly across the parking lot from the Church’s Cry Room.
Until then, your first step is to choose which Mass you will participate in every weekend, and begin doing so. You will need to have copies of your Public Record Birth Certificate, your Baptism Certificate and First Communion Certificate, please bring them to our first meeting. Feel free to call or text me if you have any questions!
